SPORTS: RETURN TO PLAY AFTER CONCUSSIONS AND BRAIN INJURY. REVIEWS, PROSPECTS AND SCIENTIFIC DATA.
Concussion and its consequences on the health of players has become a major problem in rugby, as in many other team and individual sports.
Close to its players in seeking performance and in protecting their physical integrity, ASM has sought to facilitate the organization of an international symposium open to all sport federations, professional leagues and to the entire world of sport.
Omnisports is a global research program on the topic that was reviewed at the Berlin Consensus Conference in October 2016.
Based on the conclusions of the Berlin conference, experiences and research, the symposium will try to establish the conditions for the return to play after a concussion.
This symposium is organised under the auspices of the Medical Commission of the French National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports, confirming the importance of this issue directly related to athletes’ health.
